KYORUGI

Kyorugi (sparring ) is an import component of Taekwondo where by two athletes will be sparring with one another with the aim to score points. It is also an opportunity for athletes to put their training, self defence, into practice.

When sparring, both athletes will wear protective equipment which includes, helmet, mouth guard, arm & leg guards and chest plate.

The International Olympic Committee recognized the WTF and taekwondo sparring in 1980.This is the only martial art in which you could represent your country at the Olympics.
