Dear Instructor,
It is with great pleasure that we invite you and your members to participate in the 2018 TUNZ North Island Invitational Championship, which will be hosted by New Plymouth Taekwondo. This tournament will be held on Saturday 23rd June, at TSB Stadium, Mason Drive, New Plymouth.
This is a one day event and will include, Kyorugi (Sparring), Poomsae (individual, pairs and teams), as well as a jumping front kick competition. The tournament is open to all invited WT players regardless of affiliation and as usual Union members will receive a discounted price on all events.
The Daedo electronic system will be used for all Red and Black Belt Kyorugi divisions. This is a great opportunity to develop our Red belts and as such each competitor will need to supply their own Daedo sensor socks. It is encouraged that these be purchased prior to the tournament as there is no guarantee that there will be sensor socks available for purchase at the tournament.
Who doesn’t love a jumping front kick competition? It is great to see this event back again and it will be a lot of fun seeing how high we can all jump!
Registrations should be managed by each club and submitted as per the instructions within this document by close of business on Friday 15th June 2018. Late Registrations will not be accepted.
Instructors will be given competitors list on Monday 18th June and will have until 5PM Thursday to advise the organisers of any changes or alterations (due to incorrect weight etc or uncontested players). The final draw will be published on Friday 22nd June.
